Ideas for REAL Change

We must provide the very best education for ALL students. To equalize the playing field for our learners, we must establish schools that focus on SKILLS FOR THE 21st CENTURY.

• Expand the influence of the Board, Parents and Teachers in State and Federal Education Policy

• Return the Board's focus to Instruction and Student Motivation- not just Construction

• Ensure the rights of experienced teachers, parents, and educators- not just insiders- to establish and innovate new school models

• End the "Go to college or go away policy"- Offer alternative, competency based diplomas

• Demand full, public transparency for all external contracting and purchasing

• Implement a genuine Green Policy that includes students and curriculum- not just facilities

• Consolidate all of the non-traditional programs into one  Division of Extended Learning for
  • Career and vocational education
  • Adult and online learning  
  • Alternative diplomas
  • Worksite Education and Industry Partnerships

• Reduce the bloated bureaucracy- return resources to the classroom.

Can the schools have fundamental changes without federal influence when it gets so much of its finance from it? And many of its minions are committed to internationalism more than our national interests?

Can students learn civics? true and proven history about finance, wars, media and culture in the USA?
